Körber takes stake in NAiSE to advance mixed-fleet automation
Körber is acquiring a stake in German software developer NAiSE, creating a strategic partnership focused on coordinating mixed fleets in warehouses and production environments. The move adds a vendor-neutral fleet-management capability to Körber’s supply-chain software portfolio.
NAiSE, founded in 2017, develops a Fleet Management Software platform that places automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and manually operated industrial trucks under a shared control layer. The company has been self-funded until now. Its platform is designed to connect equipment from multiple manufacturers instead of forcing industrial operators to manage separate, isolated systems.
A common layer for heterogeneous fleets
As automation projects expand, sites increasingly combine vehicles with different technical specifications and control systems. NAiSE addresses this challenge through a standardised integration layer that can be configured with integrated tools. The system is intended to work alongside a range of warehouse management, warehouse execution and warehouse control systems, rather than depending on one specific background platform.
For industrial companies, the approach could improve visibility across vehicle operations and make fleet expansion less dependent on a single equipment supplier. It also supports the orchestration of automated and manually driven vehicles within the same operating environment.
Körber and NAiSE plan to deepen the connection between the platform and Körber’s warehouse solutions while developing additional intralogistics applications. Potential future use cases include humanoid robotics. NAiSE will continue developing its platform for production logistics and related applications, and will retain its existing network of AGV and AMR partners.
Independence remains part of the model
The company will continue serving existing and new partners, including system integrators and vehicle manufacturers. Day-to-day leadership remains with co-founders Kai Przybysz-Herz, Robert Libert and Raphael Kusumoto. Körber will act as a strategic investor and support the company’s international growth through industrial expertise and access to a global customer network.
For Körber, the investment extends its ambition to offer end-to-end automation across warehouse software and mobile robotics. For NAiSE, the partnership provides additional scale while preserving an open, multi-vendor position.
