Toyota Material Handling Europe is expanding its compact warehouse equipment portfolio with four new vehicles designed for order picking and horizontal transport. The launch comprises the Optio L-series OSE100 and OSE100W order pickers, alongside the Tracto S-series TSE300 and TSE500 tow tractors.

The new machines are aimed at warehouses, distribution centres and manufacturing sites handling demanding daily flows. Their compact layouts are intended to support precise movement in congested areas, while efficient drive systems and lightweight construction can help reduce energy use.

Picking at two levels

Both Optio models have a 1,000 kg capacity and support picking up to the second level. The OSE100 uses an elevating platform and an initial fork lift to bring loads and working height closer to the operator. The OSE100W has a walkthrough platform that rises to 1,195 mm and allows bulky products to be picked onto the forks.

A three-wheel chassis supports tight manoeuvring. Electronic steering configurations, optional heating and walkie buttons are available according to operating requirements. The latter allow the truck to move while the operator walks alongside it, reducing repeated boarding during intensive picking cycles. Further product information is available from Toyota’s premium truck range.

Towing with lower operating friction

The stand-in electric TSE300 and TSE500 are rated for towing loads of 3.0 and 5.0 tonnes respectively, with travel speeds reaching 12 km/h. Lithium-battery versions support opportunity charging, which may help extend operating shifts. Updated operator areas, easier battery access, standard inching buttons and optional mirrors and direction indicators are intended to simplify repeated transport tasks. A Rockinger hitch can be specified for more demanding applications.

Across the range, Toyota highlights lower noise, reduced vibration and operator-focused ergonomics. Wider access, integrated storage and a redesigned battery hood are intended to improve daily usability and maintenance access. The OSE100 and OSE100W have also been assessed under ISO 23308 criteria and recognised for energy consumption and noise performance.

Safety options include blue or red warning lights and other visibility aids for busy shared workspaces. Orders are scheduled to open in November, with production planned for the first quarter of 2027. Toyota also plans to add the Optio OSE120CB to the range.
